大家好!
It's been another fast week. In the last couple of days in Macau, Francis accepted a baptismal date, and his best friend Ronaldo, who had invited him to church when I had first gotten here agreed to move his earlier to be next week on June 6th. Just this past Sunday they passed their interviews and will be baptized this upcoming Sunday! I have loved my six weeks since serving in Macau and I look forward to seeing them both grow in the gospel.
Since Thursday I've moved out of Macau and am living on the Island in Causeway Bay to serve the Victoria 1 Branch. Instead of seeing families and old grandpas on the street we run into businessmen, shoppers, and tourists, and helping support the six new missionaries in our zone has made the work feel completely different. During a study this week I found this scripture. "And any man that shall go and preach this gospel of the kingdom, and fail not to continue faithful in all things, shall not be weary in mind, neither darkened, neither in body, limb, nor joint; and a hair of his head shall not fall to the ground unnoticed. And they shall not go hungry, neither athirst.” (D&C 84:80.)
One of the things I hope to do is to show this faithfulness and to continue the culture of diligence I have learned from my leaders in the past. It has been a joy to see the Lords hand in the past fourteen months and I feel privileged to have met so many people that have shown me what it truly means to consecrate all of our efforts in this holy work.
