Whose great idea was to bring their kids to work day was brilliant or something to the extent of their wife/mother needing a break from the kids and forcing the husband to take the kid(s) away from her. Since this is my first time doing this, this past Thursday I figured I can bring Brennan to work too and of course Abbey couldn't agree one bit more. So I took him to work and showed my son off to my co-workers. They were delighted and had a great time playing with him. However later did I come to realized that Bring your Kids to work day means take your kids; not your toddlers to work. The HR informed me that the kids have to between the ages of 8 and 14 - a big OOoops. Oh well, regarless we had a wonderful time at work. Abbey came around lunch time to pick Brennan up and I can resume my normal work.

As you can see my office, Brennan seemed to really fit into the mold of a business working person even down to the pose, clothes, and of course his snacks.

I figured since I haven't posted anything here for awhile, I might as well as put some recent pictures taken. I'll leave comments here and there...and everywhere.

Not only can Brennan blink, Clayton's got the groove too.

*thinking to myself* All I need to do is smile and look cute and I got grandma on my side.

Boo-ya! Easy as pie

Who's the lady's man now?

Clayton gets all the baby attention, heck I go and start learning how to drive. All I need is a few coins and a longer foot.

Don't I look cute? Look at me, I look mesmerized.

*thinking to myself*: Ha ha! I know what you are thinking and I have hid it well. It is not for public viewing-that you have to pay.

As you can see, it is only a splash and not what you think it is. I believe we have him trained in that department several months ago.

Alright, only use your tongue sparingly and at home. Never outside the house or in places that would get you in trouble.

Hmm..I think he's laughing so hard that all his teeth fell out.

Due to a complaint from a friend far far away about Brennan seemed scared riding on the bike the previous year, we've decided to prove her wrong. It was just the camera angle and not the parents forcing him to ride or maybe this picture has been altered.

The day before Earth day, Brennan is already doing his part for the world by planting or helping our neighbor plant some flowers. He's really excited to help her plant, soil, and even water the flowers. Great job! (Now just make sure to learn well so one day you can grow flowers for the ladies)

So this past Saturday we were treated to a special lunch by one of our friends from church. He just recently opened a Sushi Restaurant and invite us for a free lunch! The food looked beautiful and it tastes just as good-yummmmm. As you can see from the pictures, Brennan had a good time too, oh well Clayton will get his chance when he gets older.

Dear friends and family near and far,

It is very sad to hear of such horrific news event that has taken place this week within the close vicinity of our own Washington DC metro area. And the saddening part is that most of the world, including the US, describe this person as a Korean instead of an American-Korean. We hope that each of us taken a few moments to reflect how we can better prepare our children to prevent or avoid these types of occurrences in the future by doing our part properly.

As the boys get older, dinner time is getting more and more fun. Especially when Brennan and Clayton eat at the same time.

What? What are you looking at?

Yes I am talking to you! Can't a baby get some private time for food?

I am serious.

Mama, I am talking to you too.

I am even using sign language to give me more food.

Yes mama, this means you, give me more food. Now.

Finally, some decent nutrition for my tiny body.

Now you can play with me and I will laugh with you.

See, I am laughing with the Gerber baby on the box.

Those babies crack me up.

I even laugh like them, except I am much much more handsome.

Tonight we taught the meaning of Easter to Brennan and Emilee about how Jesus was ressurected to Earth and we use eggs to celebrate as a rebirth. (Correct if I am wrong) So as it goes, Da went to Walmart to get dyes and eggs. Da was soooo good about making sure to get everything right that the eggs turned out really well...as the story goes. ( We only took pictures of the results to save Da from embarrasment)

Hey, at least Brennan is happy with the outcome of the Eggs.

So is Emilee. She looks funny b/c she has food in her mouth.

Ok so here goes the real story. Da was very careful to buy dyes and eggs that he didn't even bother reading the instructions for all the ingredients. So we had enough vinegar for two colors instead of six and you can tell what colors they were. When we were in the dye-ing process, Da was so careful not to use newspaper to base everything that we hav color dyes-RED-all over the kitchen floor as well. Da being so good that Abbey didn't have to remind him that it is best to dye the bright colors before mixing with the darks; not vice versa-so in the end all the colors greenish/purplish-thanks Da. Other than that, the kids loved it and Easter has a different history in the Zhao family.
