Since Cary and Lauren Ning has been called to our Branch as young men and young women presidents, our youth have really been blessed! They are super active and super involved with the youth; pretty much dedicate all their free time to them from going to mutual, to coaching ym bball, and even plan activities on their days off. Such as on an unusually warm President's Day, he and his wife Lauren planned the day to go biking with the youth. They could have done everything else but they rather go biking with our youth. Too bad none of the young women can make it but we have eight young men, Cary Ning, Lauren Ning, Charles Huang, Patrick Shen and Da went on the biking trip. It created some great memories.

Just for comparison. Back in 2006 Da took the 7 young men to have a similar biking trip. The only original people from that group was Patrick Shen, Henri Ly (in the bike carrier behind Mindy Ly-center) and Da.

Today in 2017, we have 8 boys from left to right: William Zheng,  Charles Huang, David Wang, Steven Zheng, Clayton, Richard Huang, Isaiah Shen, Jacob Yang, Patrick Shen, Lauren Ning, Cary Ning, Da, and Brennan. We biked starting from Brother Ning's house close to Strathmore in Bethesda along Beach Drive passing by the Washington DC temple to the Capital Crescent trail all the way to Washington DC's Potomac River close to the Kennedy Center. Along the way we met up with Greg Ly, his son Henri Ly, his friend Pavy and his young men Marshall. We started biking around 9:45am and ended around 3:00pm back to Cary Ning's house. The total mileage we biked was about 26 miles.Afterward we had a nice young men gathering and BBQ at our house.

Valentine's Day used to be that Abbey and I will ask a family or friend to watch the kids so we have a date night out. Well, it's a little different after so many years of VDay. Now I have been asked to volunteer at school for class parent for their Valentine's Day Party.
Then later that night we visited Gramma Florence Wright. Her health has deteriorated significantly and she can't walk as well so we decided to donate one of our iPads to her to use for going on Facebook where she follows and reads all her family, grandchildren, and greatgrand children from all over the world and know what they're doing. This way she can stay seated in her recliner and don't have to get up to her computer to see everyone's postings. Cayleigh and Clayton also made Valentine's Day card for her too. (Brennan was in Jazz Band). That really brought great joy to her. The best part was when she said she's more tech savvy than her daughter with her iPad :)
