This Memorial Day weekend Da took the kids to go hiking at the DC National Mall with the scouts while Abbey went with the church youth to Youth Conference. It started Friday night when Abbey left Da with three kids. 

He did not know what to feed them and somehow grilling burgers came to mind. It was getting late around 8pm when he decided to take the kids out to buy the food for making the burgers. They didn't eat until nearly 9pm. Then Clayton had a marvel idea to want to eat outside on a beautiful cool night, and there was no bugs!

 















  The next morning, while did a lot of work in the kitchen with other adults preparing food for the youth at Youth Conference, Da was walking all around the DC National Mall hiking and doing a scavenger hunt with the scouts to look for and learn about the beginning of Scouting in Washington DC. 


The kids wanted to take the Metro train to DC which they were very excited about.

This is the first time our youth and the Kentlands youth and adults joined the Dragon Boat Race. It was a great experience. On race, our family had a great time watching all these dragon boats race. The youth took bronze while the adults took silver. Not bad for all new inexperienced people.
