This is one Memorial weekend to remember! So many things happened all in the same week/weekend. May is the busiest month for us since many of the activities and programs are wrapping up as school is coming to an end. With that said, our kids scouting programs, music rehearsals, and other activities are all scheduled in May. On top of that, this year our church have a 25 year reunion that Abbey and Da are heavily involved in the festivities program for all three days of Memorial Day weekend.
FongFong was so ready to go to Girl Scout camping. This is her first camping with her troop, and she is camping without her parents. She was originally part of the church program dance but she chose to go camping instead. She was very excited and packed all her camping items by herself. Since we can't go with her, her troop leader picked up and off she went!
For some mysterious reason, one morning there was a 'chicken' leg in front of their camp site so the troop named their camp year to be the year of the chicken leg. The troop leaders things it's probably a turkey leg.
Clayton had one last MCYO concert. Abbey was a parent volunteer and was able to capture the action from back stage.
CC had his last band rehearsal for the year. This year is also his teacher's last year before retirement.
CC receiving the "Outstanding Performance in Jazz Band" certificate
The planning for the branch reunion took many months and then finally executed on Memorial Day weekend.
