Archive for July 2026

July has been an interesting month. Jing Yuan's dad passed way, after many months of care. He is buried at the at the Parklawn Memorial in Rockville MD. When we found out, we also discovered that grandma Florence Wright is also buried there, so we visited her too!

FF entered the CCACC Volleyball back in April/May, and she actually won the design contest. With the win, they gave her a couple free tshirts with her design!
The photo plaque below of the boys playing T-ball when they were young. I never put FF photos in it b/c she never played T-ball, however she she played softball in her High School years. So I finally updated with some of her softball photos.
The photos below are a miracle in itself. For a long time, Chickfila stop running the Chickfila Customer Appreciation Day where one dressed up as a cow and you get a free sandwich. FF cut up some black felt to make us look like cows to get free sandwich. While going there, Da floated the idea of FF working at Chickfila. She said no b/c she doesn't want to friends making fun of her.

Then Da said how would someone make fun of you if you have a job an income. Those making fun are the ones without a job and don't have income. She thought about it while we were in line. When were there, FF saw many of her friends working there! She was very happy to see them. Then we stayed there to eat the sandwiches. While there, she saw more of her school friends who also worked there.

Then Da said, in front her of friends, that she should apply to work at Chickfila. They all agreed and show her how to get started. One even grabbed the manager to introduce FF.

More to continue....
Above, FF is make more jewelry for friends. Belove, Abbey having lunch with Happy Group at work.
Once in a while Da would invite his colleague's to play basketball at work. This time he invited enough people to play a 4v4. It started as a easy going and end up being very competitive towards the end. But it was fun playing a few mins of bball at work.
Da bringing waffles to work and someone brought bacon, friend chicken, and cooked eggs too!!

It's been some time that Abbey and Da went out on a date. It's actually been REALLY long time that Da planned the entire event. So he finally has some time while FF was at girls camp. He asked and searched around for suggestions and took Abbey to Patapsco Valley State Park, Avalon area Cascade Falls Trail and then took her to eat at Siroo and Juk Story in Ellicott City MD. It was a really nice and relaxing day. Abbey really liked the Korean food and Da ate too much of the dessert. She enjoyed the experience, so we might do it again in the future.
