With all the turmoil and instability with Hong Kong's government by China, Abbey's brother, Ian and his wife, made a life changing decision. They decided to move from Hong Kong, where they lived all their lives and to immigrate their family, to England to start all over in hopes of a better life for them and their two boys. It was as huge decision since both Ian's and Ada's family are all in HK.

So Covid is not going away anytime soon.  In recent news, the original strain has mutated to another, even more contagious strain called the Delta variant. It is surging again. Fortunately our family has not been impacted by the virus. Our family has contemplated quite a bit about whether to take the covid vaccine or not. Abbey and Da debated quite a bit, the good and bad reasons. However after many weeks of debate, we decided to have our whole family vaccinated. It was a good decision since we will be traveling to Hawaii and also to see older relatives in San Francisco. We would just need to make sure we don't carry it nor that we will impacted by it.

There were many people having side effects from the vaccine shots, but fortunately none of were impacted much by the shots. The only symptoms we got after the shots were sore arms and the two younger ones has a mild high temperature around 99/100 degrees. After a couple Advils and rest, we were back to normal 24 hours after the shot.

This year I get to the privilege of biking to school with FF. I would bike with her to school to 'drop her' off, then bike to work. Then at lunch I would bike to school to 'pick her up' to go home and then grab a quick lunch to go back to work. It's great spending time with her biking to and from school.

After she get home biking from school, she's pooped on the first day.

During the Summer CC has been continually have meetings with his mentors researching and finding 3D printer materials. In his research, they purchased a 3D printer for him to test out the materials. In these photos, Jacob Yang helped him setup the printer.

Another Summer gig CC had was going Montgomery College and learning car mechanics. Since he didn't take any photos, I took him to my mechanic so he can change the oil on our car, by himself.
SS continues to love to draw. This took him 3 hrs to draw from free hand for his friend's bday card.

He also love to play volleyball, so Da took him to play volleyball at night with the adults. He did well, for his level.

Since we were fairly free that day, CC needed some driving hours so we decided to go to an orchard about an hour away, get some peaches. Jacob Yang was bored and so he decided to join us too. Then afterward he took us to a hot pot location in Rockville and we ate soooo much food! When we got home, we took some family photos in our backyard.
