I don't think that our kid is a typical kid. I mean usually kids like to play toys, watch shows, and read ABC or some simple learning books. However Mr. Brennan recently discovered something that interests him very much; he loves to read this book. If you prefer not to click on the link, he's reading "Planning Your Pregnancy and Birth" The book is on the side of Abbey's bed when he discovered it. So he starts flipping through it and wow after he skims through all the illustrations and images he's got more questions for Abbey and I than we can have 'appropriate' answers.
Needless to say he asked lots of questions about the menstrual cycle pie, the female and male reproductive system, and the multiple illustrations on the growth of the fetus. We were frank with him. We told him where he came from and the actual size of him when he was in mama's tummy. The female and male reproduction needed a little imaginative answer since he's a boy he has the 'male' part and the female part is the one that produces the baby. The menstrual cycle took a lot of imagination and Da told him that it was like a pizza pie where there are small pieces and big pieces for the whole month. So much for the birds and the bees.
So the last several days he's obsessive with reading this book. Not sure why but we are sure trying to keep it out of sight and hopefully he will keep it out of his mind. It hasn't worked yet as he asks for the book when he wakes up and before he goes to bed. Now for you readers, don't get any ideas....not just yet. You can wait; you are adults...hahaha. And if you have lots of questions we will be frank and imaginative with you too. We will let you know of any news.
