2021-09-19 Da's father's birthday

Since we are still in Covid and Yuan's family does not feel comfortable gathering indoors, we decided to have a birthday lunch for grandpa at the park! It was beautiful day at the park. We had lunch, then sang Birthday song and walked around the park. It was a great time for everyone to be together since covid and take some photos.

2021-09-12 Gloria's wedding

We've known Gloria since she was twelve when we were getting married. Then for years Abbey worked for Gloria's mom. We've seen her grown as she's seen our kids grow. Finally, drove with her parents over this weekend to see her getting married in a beautiful wedding reception in upstate Catskills, New York where they met. While we waited for their final touches, we did a little hiking before the ceremony the next day.

2021-08-30 First Day of School

This year was a little hectic, we planned our Hawaii-California trip late that we flew back home the evening before they start school the next day while Covid-19 is still around, .

We are glad that our kids are going back to in person school. Although FF and SS are not new to their school, they are new to the school building since they have not been in it during last year-which would have been their first year in their new schools, however all the kids are excited to see their friends again. They are mandated to wear masks at all times, except when eating. Since now the kids are older, the school bus doesn't come to our neighborhood anymore. FF has to either walk or be driven to school, SS has to walk about 7 minutes into another neighborhood to catch the bus, and CC is now driving himself (as of now, provisional while driving with parent). Since seminary is also in person, SS and CC has to go to early morning in-person seminary starting at 6:20; CC has to leave the house at 5:50 AM.
