We had the opportunity to meet so many people this week! Since we had relatively few progressive catechumens, we went out to Taipa, in South Macao. It rained all week. Although there weren’t many people outside, we found new people and had the opportunity to share the scriptures. Four of our friends attended church on Sunday. Additionally, we have a baptism service on Sunday! It was the baptism of a child who came to China with his family. Our missionary needs to make sure he understands all the gospel principles first, so in about two hours he reviews all the gospel principles. There was a lot to plan for this party, and since it was our first time planning, we forgot to turn on the water heater! He felt very cold, but there was no problem, hehe. His dad had the opportunity to baptize and confirm him with the Holy Spirit. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach and serve him and his family! I know this gospel is a blessing for families. Besides, Elder Liang has recovered. And, since our sisters' missionaries' records were just transferred from the elder missionaries, they sent us many records of male seekers; about fifty records to contact. Because of this, we've had time to teach a few friends. Hopefully, next week we can challenge some to baptism!

This is my favorite passage I read this week, from Romans 10:13-15.
13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
14 But how can they call on him if they have not believed in him? How can they believe in him if they have not heard of him? And how can they hear without someone to preach the word?
15 How can they preach the word unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news and preach joyful news!

This passage explains our purpose as missionaries. This ministry is not easy, but I know salvation is not something cheap. I know this is God's work.

Next Wednesday I'll be twenty. This year has gone by so fast. This week I had time to reflect on my experience at church. I want to say thank you all. Thank you for your support, love, and example. I admire your effort and faith! I hope I can continue learning Chinese and come back to share this gospel with you. Liang Chang is helping me slowly learn Mandarin, and I hope I'll have a chance to remember it. I hope you all understand this message, hehe. Keep it up! See you next week!

Love you all
Elder Zhao
