Since my family is in Hong Kong for 5 1/2 weeks, I decided to meet up with cousins and go biking again. Last time we went, was about three years ago when Abbey took the kids to Hong Kong too.
(Click here to see the last time we biked)
On 8/4/18, Coincidentally Michelle came back from San Diego and she was free, but Nancy had to fly over to Vegas the same week for her dad's mother passing. So Michelle, Alvin and I biked the Rockcreek Trail from Lake Frank in Rockville to Washington DC Waterfront / Georgetown and back, which is about 42 miles.
On 8/18, two weeks later, I went biking with Nancy, Arnold, and Tony along the Mt. Vernon trail from Gravelly Point next DC's Reagan Airport to George Washington Mt. Vernon's house. It was one of the most beautiful scenic bike rides I've experienced so far.
Due to the recent heavy rains, we passed through a lot of areas with big puddles.
Since there was a park closure due to the heavy rain, we had to take a detour through a neighborhood and these kids were selling lemonade. I didn't have any change so I gave them a new $2 bill. It made their day!
Two weeks later, I went biking with Nancy, Tony, and Arnold. It's pretty nice trail.
This was at Old Town Alexandria in Va. These kids were playing the same pieces Clayton had been practicing and I figure I encourage them by giving them some money. (I hope that Clayton will do something like that later too)
Biked to National Harbor
Biked to MGM Casino
Our tripod to take our group photo...lol
And lastly biked to our destination, George Washington Mount Vernon
Then when we were done, we went to Honey Pig to 'pig' out.
