May was an incredibly busy month full of events and activities while the boys are back home. However, there are some things that also deserve some posting.
Since Clayton has time and part of his Christmas gift was giving out passes to clean the kitchen, he honored the passes when he was home. He thoroughly cleaned the oven, the kitchen floor, the cooking stove and hood. Then went outside and trimmed the front year bushes too! He got the house all tidy and beautiful.
Cayleigh was no slouch either. She had many activities, including softball and other event. So she usually comes home and just falls asleep on the couch.
With our busy schedule, she also still manages to practice French Horn at home and at Ms. Yeos. Most of these practices was in preparing to perform at Strathmore.
Da and Abbey were invited to attend Daniel Ly's school performance. He was a singer in his school. He sang very well!
One special treat was that Da was able to reconnect with Emily Kwok. A young women in the Punchbowl Branch in Sydney Australia when he served there in 2000. She came to visit the DC area for work and was able to meet up to see our family! How great it was!
Despite our busy schedule, the cousins still managed time to hang out. They spent the day in DC and came back home to eat dinner at Taipei.
The cousins did also managed to spend some playing time with badminton, pickleball, and ping pong. Brennan was also able to help Cayleigh with some of her homework.
Since we're so packed with events, we weren't able to visit Diane Kwok in Brooklyn. She Da arranged them to video chat and arranged for Diane to give Clayton Red Envelope over video chat. He was very surprised and happy. This is Clayton's Cantonese in May 2025, before he goes on his mission to Hong Kong.
During these really nice days, Abbey and her coworkers would walk around the office's neighborhood. They discovered a playground and played in it like they were little kids having great fun and joy!
FF and Clayton decided to try to balance each other using only their body weight.
We visited Chen mama while the boys were home.
We also visited Bro. Hal Jewel while the boys were home.
FF had a runny nose, but she needed to study, she couldn't be bothered, so she used a napkin and clip.
This year for Mother's Day, instead of buying roses, our brothers decided to fold origami flowers for our sisters, oh the sisters loved them!
Clayton wanted to climbed to the top of the church steeple one more time before he left for his mission. The stairs to 'heaven' is one of the most shady stairs anyone can climb. It's literally a aluminum collapsible ladder that is screwed onto the structure. But at least the view is beautiful.
Once again this year, Da held another Dragon Boat race at Riley's Lock for the youth on Memorial Day Monday. The kids had a lot of fun!
