Just days before school started the kids already volunteered to help out Ms. Grimann art class to decorate her walls and tables. They also helped with Ms. Barrios class too. Ms. Barrios was Clayton's last year 5th grade teacher.

So this Maria's Bakery Cafe was closing because the owners want to retire. It's only place in our area that serves Hong Kong style food and Abbey actually really like their food.

They were closing on Sept 4, 2017. We were thinking of going there for one last time. Initially we were going there for dinner but due to schedule conflict, we decided to go there for lunch. Da told Abbey to call them to reserve seats since they might be busy. Then she found out that they don't reserve seats and to Abbey's surprise they're closing at 1:00pm; at the time she called it about 12:40pm. She didn't know how to react, so she called back about carry out and they said they're not taking carry out orders either. So our only option was to eat there but it'll take us about 20 mins to get there. So what did Da do? -he started driving faster and cutting other cars and ran yellow turning red lights to make it to the door at 12:57p!

We got in, got a table and ate. There was a lot of food times that's sold out already like the Portuguese Bake Chicken, however we did managed to get some Hong Style food. Everyone was happy and at the end, as we were walking out the bosses, staff and everyone was saying Thank Yous and Goodbyes.

This year the governor of our state decided that the entire state will start school after Labor Day. So the kids want to go to the pool one last time before school starts since the pools will be closed after Labor Day. They sure had a lot of fun, especially when Da gets in the pool and he becomes the "target"

The kids are also in 4H Lucky Clovers club too and they have an end of season pool party at one of the member's home like every year. This year Cayleigh is finally a member of the actual 4H Club.

Lately Da has an obsession to go fishing. Ever since he went to South Carolina to visit friends during the Solar Eclipse, Jo taught Da a couple tricks and finally he was able to catch some Bass. Cayleigh was excited too so she went along the next day and caught some more fish!!! We even invited more friends and went fishing some more.
