This weekend we had a fabulous camping trip at Shenandoah National Park in VA with the Wilson family. The park is over 100 miles long and we camped at Matthews Arm area along the Shenandoah Park. We camped camp Thursday through Saturday since there was no school Friday. Originally we were supposed to drive Thursday after FF was done with piano at 6pm. We didn't leave the house until 8pm which worked out because there was no traffic when we drove there, however the Wilson's decided to stay home and drive up the next morning. When we arrived at the camp it was 10p, Abbey and I quickly setup the tent while the kids were still sleeping the van. That night was very windy and chilly but it was great since there were no bugs. The Wilson's joined us the next morning and we went adventuring to Luray Caverns, ropes, and driving along the Skyline Drive (actually because Robert Wilson's GPS took us to the wrong entrance which made our trip an hour long but nevertheless we enjoyed the awesome scenery)
The next morning all the kids had to help out to gather wood to cook our breakfast
We pack almost everything, except for a spatula to cook the food...found a substitute! Debarked stick and viola! instant chopsticks
