We we heard there will be an open house to the new Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple, Abbey jumped on it and reserved tickets for our family and the Wilsons. Well we didnt want to drive up there for a one day trip so she looked for other things to do up there. We went to the Crayola Experience. It was nice, the kids had a lot of hands on creativity experiements with their crayons and/or melted color wax.

A little more than he bargained for. Instead of a flat art, the kids made 3D art by keep piling the melted crayons on top of each other.
SS's favorite shirt is now a masterpiece.
One cool thing about going there was afterwards we went to Chick-fil-a nearby and the kids usually eat ice cream with their kids meals. Well this particular store, the staff was really awesome that they even had our kids go to the ice cream machine and fill up their own cones. They were both pretty thrilled.
Next day, we went to Pilly Chinatown. It's smaller than NY but has enough food and shops to make it a decent Chinatown. Abbey wanted morning Dim Sum and we were there around 10:30am and many retaurants weren't open yet so we walked around. First thing that we bought was 4 lbs of Longans (Da's favorite) and ate it while walking around Chinatown for breakfast. Then we did go back to the DimSum place Abbey wanted to eat. It was yummy. Then Da finished the rest of the 4lb Logans within 30 minutes while walking to the Philadelphia Art Museum.
SS is really enjoying the art museum and took over 100 photos off paintings and varios art pieces. The one below is one of his favorite.
Part of the admission was that we get to hop around to other museums too. They have a trolley to take patrons to their other sites. We like the Perlman Art Museum more since the kids were able to have a lot more hands on to learn about art.

Of course have to do the real life recreation.
After the museums, we met up with the Wilson family to tour the new Philadelpia Temple open house. Too bad we can't take photos inside but it was qutie beautiful and the tour was very informative.
Later that night, we took the Wilson family back to Chinatown for dinner. None of their kids had eaten authentic Chinese food. Abbey made the order and there was definitely lots of yummy foods for everyone to eat.
