Day 2: The kids didn't wake up until 10am. We all ate some left over buns for breakfast and discussed the day's plans. Some want to go shopping in the morning and then go skiing in the afternoon since it's cheaper but some want to go skiing all day. Upon looking at the weather, it will rain starting at 6pm. So change of plans, we will go skiing in the morning all day until it rains, even if we pay a little more since if we go after 3p, we will only ski for 3 hours before rain start coming down.

We arrived at Camelback ski resort at 11am and purchased tickets. So it seems that Da's niece and nephew, Emilee and Chris, never ski'ed before. We wanted to purchase instructional tickets for them but it was all sold out. So what do we do? Our kids taught them! We started off at the lowest ski area and SS and FF taught Chris and Emilee how to stop and move. It was kind of funny looking at how our kids teach other kids. At first Emilee and Chris were hesitant to get on the 'magic carpet' which bring them up to the top of the little hill but their parents didn't let them go. Da on the other hand kept insisting they should go up right away and come down, it's the best way for them to learn and it's low enough that even if they fall, they won't get hurt. However after 15-20 mins and some peer pressure they finally went up.

Of course the first time coming down the bunny hill causes a lot of anxiety and crashes and of course Da is there with his camera to capture all the action. But you know what, after the first time, and then the second time, they loved it and keep going back up the hill and coming down and go the hang of it. Then after about an hour or so, they mastered the hill and was ready to move on.

After a quick pizza lunch, Brennan told everyone there's a slightly higher hill with lifts on the other side of the resort called Sunbowl. This is more adventurous and of course there is a slight learning curve since it's a bit steeper and getting on and off the lifts too. They enjoyed many hours there but Brennan actually went to look for some higher trails, however since they only have a couple lifts working, the lifts took him up to the peak and he ski'ed down and reported that it was a bit icy and probably too dangerous for the other kids. So the kids stayed at Sunbowl for the rest of the day until it started to rain around 5:30 and we left at 6pm. Since Da's sister and parents didn't want to sit and watch the entire day, they went shopping at the outlets nearby.

After skiing, the kids still want to go to the pool. So we went back to the hotel, which was literally less than 5 minute drive from the resort, we ordered Chinese. While waiting for the food, Da brought his laptop so the kids can watch AstroBoy. After dinner the kids went jumping and screaming at the pool while Da's parents enjoyed the hot tub and his sister went on the treadmill. By 9pm, the kids actually were done with the pool and went back into the rooms to play Big 2 card game until 11pm. Actually Da's parents, his sister, and Emilee were already asleep.
