FF looks forward going camping with her Girl Scout troop every year. Her troop have two great leaders and they are very energetic too!
Here are the words from her leaders, "Getting started working on our box ovens! We will be baking our desserts in these later."
The tree is hallowed out with lots of room inside. Some of the girls loved it and some wouldn't go near it.
"Afternoon and evening updates. Camping SWAPS, trail mix, a muddy hike, walking tacos for dinner, fire and s'mores."
Words from the leaders, Patty and Jenny,
Another successful camping trip in the books! We wrapped up this morning with a "hot chocolate" walk around the camp with a stop to try out the hammock camping site. Our scouts definitely want to try that one day! Then we tie-dyed our shirts in a surprisingly orderly and not-messy way, lol. Please note that they still need to be washed. Instructions for doing that are on the bags.
Thanks to our Scouts and families for a fun trip! We added to our camp cooking skills with our box ovens, proved our toughness sleeping in the cold glen shelters, and had fun with lots of Girl Scout traditions like SWAPS, s'mores, and tie-dye. And we got to try out a new camp as a troop, Potomac Woods. ❤
We are still hopeful to reserve a lodge for an overnight in Feb and will keep everyone in the loop when/if we are able to do that
