This year was a little hectic, we planned our Hawaii-California trip late that we flew back home the evening before they start school the next day while Covid-19 is still around, .
We are glad that our kids are going back to in person school.  Although FF and SS are not new to their school, they are new to the school building since they have not been in it during last year-which would have been their first year in their new schools, however all the kids are excited to see their friends again. They are mandated to wear masks at all times, except when eating. Since now the kids are older, the school bus doesn't come to our neighborhood anymore. FF has to either walk or be driven to school, SS has to walk about 7 minutes into another neighborhood to catch the bus, and CC is now driving himself (as of now, provisional while driving with parent). Since seminary is also in person, SS and CC has to go to early morning in-person seminary starting at 6:20; CC has to leave the house at 5:50 AM.

Our kids had a wonderful fun filled Summer with many outdoor activities. Since we live in one ward boundaries, go to church in another stake, and because our kids are going to high school with the local ward, our kids joined both sides of youth activities so they can know both sides of the youth and have great activities with them.

Below FF enjoyed Girls camp with the young women.

Below the Seneca Ward young men had a 25 mile bike ride at White's Ferry along the C&O Canal. It was an easy 25 mile bike ride to prepare them for the 50 mile bike ride and camping later in August.

Initially the boys were resistant to biking 50 miles. Just hearing that they need to bike 50 miles was already enough to deter them from wanting to bike, however, after a small incentive both of them agree to bike the 50 miles. In the end they had a great time biking the 50 miles and camping with the boys.

Then below are all three kids preparing themselves to go to the Kentland's youth high adventure activity of biking, camping, and white water rafting. They packed all by themselves to go on an fun filled adventurous weekend without parents at Ohiopyle PA!

They ended the Summer with a pool party and watching over their high adventure highlights on a slideshow
