This year Montgomery County Public School decided to cancel school the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Da decided to take a day off and moved the normal thanksgiving celebration at his sister's house to Wednesday.
We contacted our friend Kristie and Jeremy in NJ and started our NY trip early this year.
This year the turkey was a little dry as no one was awake when Abbey went shopping in the morning. It was over cooked. The kids took their annual turkey pictures. The turkey looks so small now when they are so big.

We were afraid of bad traffic. Thus, we left home at 3:30am. While everyone was sleeping in the van. Da managed to get us to New York City in three and half hours. We were there a little after 7am. We had breakfast at a deli and then found a spot to wait for the parade to start. It was around 40s and not too cold. We all had fun watching. Even though it was like two hours long, we endured to the end.

Afterwards, we had nice meal at a local Diner called Applejack. We then walked to Central Park and passed the zoo and then went to the apple store and Rockefeller center.
