We visited friends in NY on Saturday.
Days ago we tried to contract Leung Popo, but we were not able to contact her until the day before we left. However, she got really sick on Saturday and told us not to stop by.
We went to Diane Mom's house as usual. Goddad cooked yummy noodles and ordered lot of dim sum for us. Friends gathered at their home and we had a great gathering.
Goddad loves us so much that he ordered lot of buns and brought as Chinese sausages and dry shrimp before we arrived NY. He spoiled FF with lot of Pineapple buns. He also cooked stick rice and shared with us this time. The kids were fighting over it and Abbey learned how to make it so she can make it at home.
Later that night, the yaus took as to the famous Carvel ice cream place that they love. We all have soft serve ice cream.
On Sunday, we attended sacrament with the Yau family. Right before we left NJ, Da got the prompting to call Leung Popo again. She was feeling better and was sad to hear we were heading back to Maryland. Da sensed she would like to see us and he turned around and drove back to the Brooklyn to see her. An hour later, we arrived to Popo's house. Popo still keeps our old pictures on her bedside table. It was been almost 20 years since we met Popo. Hope she stays healthy until we meet her again.
Goddad brought as more food before we left to Maryland. We picked up the Chinese calendars and headed back home. The four days vacation was too short.
By the way, Abbey made the sticky rice the next day. It was a success!
