Mom and FF took some time to think about what they wanted to paint her room. Mom took FF to the Sherwin-Williams paint store that was three minutes away and chose the color she liked. Afterward, she moved all the furniture out of her by herself, and removed all the stickers and other thing stuck to the wall. FF didn't know how to remove the stickers, she end up taking out the paint. Mom and Dad also showed her that it takes a lot of preparation time before painting, such as wiping down the walls, mudding/patch any hole or paint, taping the trims, removing light fixtures. Then we needed to vacuum and used drop cloths to protect the carpet. Finally was to use a hand brush to paint the trims, then used the rollers. A second layer was needed to make the room be brilliant.
Below is an from FF perspective:
I decided to have a makeover to my room because I thought it would be cool. I picked the "sky high" light blue color because I like blue and I think it looks really good with the posters I got at the awesomecon( some anime/genshin convention) Fist, I had to fill the holes in my wall with some mud thing that was kind of thick, then it had to be dried, sanded and repeated 2 times. After that I wiped the walls so that there wasn't any of the dust on the walls and carpeted all the stuff off the carpet. At night time before the next day, I placed blue taped on most of the edges. In the morning, I painted the edges with the help of the blue tape. This was very exhausting and time consuming. My dad and mom then helped me paint the ceiling edges. After this, dad and I painted the walls with the roller. After we finished doing the first layer, the moon went up and down again. The next day, we did the second layer. After that, I went to FSY. While I was gone, dad and mom helped clean my carpet and put all my furniture back in my room; before, it was in the hallway.
