When I registered Brennan for this class. I don't even know what "piscatorial"means. The staff probably saw the question mark in my eyes and told us all it means "everything about fish".

So with the beautiful weather, we went on the pontoon and started the journey......Brennan was all excited.

We even got cool polorized glasses to wear. They are too big for Brennan, but it looks real cool. Don't you think?!


The staff put a water camera under the water, so the little one can watch the screen on the boat.

We saw turles, fishes, ducks,....and it was a fun morning......I was sad we missed the playgroup at Kara's though. =( I almost forgot about this classes as I registered more than 2 months ago.

So it was a rarety that I would go shopping with Abbey, especially to a place like Costco. But I was brave enough to go with the family anyways. While Abbey was looking for food and groceries, I wondered around the gigantic shopping forest while avoiding SUV-sized carts ramming into me on a busy Saturday afternoon. People here buy food as if there is no tomorrow. Then one particular item stood out in my eyes, a colorful rectangular box about 3 feet tall by 4 feet wide and 6 inches thick. First thing I looked at was the price, $27.99 for a Hide N' Seek Combo which is like a couple tents linked together by tunnels sounds reasonable. It is for ages 3+ but I figured Clayton can play in it too. I thought myself, hm this would be something good just to show Abbey. When I showed it to Abbey, her eyes lit up and she took it and put it in the cart immediately, which was not exactly my intention. Abbey then gave me the guilt trip, "What did you get for Brennan and Clayton's birthdays?" Wow that hit right into the heart and I had nothing to say but put my head down and left the item in the cart. So Happy Belated Birthday boys!!

When we were at home trying to assemble this thing together and realized the size of the tents and tunnels; it took our whole living room area.


It was a lovely moment when Abbey and I tried to put the whole thing together. I, being the guy, requires no instruction manual, just do it until I can't figure out how to put up one of the tents. Abbey being the determined mother and wife would take over and put the tent up. She yelled at me for not looking at the owner's manual, so she looked and looked everywhere for the instructions: NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.


So Abbey kept at it putting that tent together until she found out that the tent poles didn't align right; that is because I stole all the poles for this tent to use on the other tent and she had me to remove all the poles from the other tent and install the correct ones. Nice.


Finally after nearly an hour of assembling this whole puzzle, they boys had an awesome time.

So Abbey decided to have a mom's night in on Friday night, meaning she would host a bunch of moms to have dinner at our house. That only means on thing: dad and kids get kicked out of the house no later than 6:15PM-poor boys. Anyways, the boys had heaps of fun by themselves, maybe we should do this more often-then again maybe not. When we got back around 9:15Pm every single mom was still chit-chatting and having a great time. You can see all the pictures and remarks from Liz, and Kara (click on names for links). Dad took Brennan to shower and put Clayton to bed. Clayton didn't want to sleep, so he stayed with the ladies. Brennan and dad went to sleep while all the moms were still having a blast. I was amazed that the boys slept through all the loud giggles and laughs. Apparently the moms didn't leave until 11:30PM, but's its all good b/c the boys were already in their own world.


Next day, the usual Saturday morning. Da would wake up with both boys and do all his duties so mom can sleep in. Brennan would wake up dad at 7:00AM sharp, then they roll around in bed for about 10-15 mins, by then Clayton wakes up. Da would carry Clayton and hold Brennan's hand and go downstairs to make breakfast. First Da changes Clayton's diapers and prepare Clayton's milk. While Clayton is feeding himself on top of the pillow by himself and Brennan drinking milk, Da would cook eggs, bacon, sausage, and bread to eat with the boys. (On weekday mornings Brennan and Da would just have cereal and milk) After the yummy breakfast, we have fruits as dessert. Da changes Clayton's smelly diaper again (Clayton likes to have #2 on a clean diaper-never fails) Then Da and the boys play a little that would tire Clayton. Da puts Clayton to bed and continue to play with Brennan. There was such a nice breeze outside, this morning we went behind the school and flew kites and came home to draw on our walkway. Since Da is not as artistic as Abbey, we have more physical fun. Lots of fun! All the while Abbey can have her rest. This story may sound biased but you can ask Abbey if its true or not.

There was a program specially designed for small kids to go on a boat at a nearby lake during the hours between dusk to sunset so they can see the animals and creatures the come out at night. The tour guide especially concentrated on the crawlfish because of it's effectiveness to the aquatic ecosystem. So as the tour guide took us around the lake, we saw beavers, cranes and especially when the sun went down the spiders, lots of big ones, come out to play and make gigantic webs to capture insects for food. And Brennan being himself, scream at the top of his lungs saying "Shpidher!" over and over louder than the voice of the tour guide. fun. After an hour of touring around the lake, we finally got back to shore and it was just pitch dark and the tour guide took everyone along the shore to catch crawlfish. They come out when the sun goes down.
