Yeah! We finally have snow for this winter and it came with some strength-in the form of record breaking blizzard or some call it Snowmageddon! The name of the storm is Jonas. As of Saturday 1/23/16 noon we have over 24 inches of snow. We are forecasted to have 6-12" more snow before it slows down. In anticipation of the snow, all schools, government agencies, and even train/bus systems have closed early Friday afternoon for this snow storm. It started to snow Friday afternoon and has been non-stop all day Saturday.

During this snow storm we took the kids out to shovel snow Friday night once. The next day we went out to shovel, it looked as if we didn't shovel snow at all. But the kids had fun playing in the snow and since they're older this year they did help out more to actually shovel snow.

While at home during the day....

Things have definitely slowed down from the crazy December activities. So we've put away the Christmas tree and decorations and the kids don't have much activities going on. And since this year has been warmer than before, we don't have any snow to play with. With that said, Abbey has put everyone on New Year's goals and doing some home crafts. FF suddenly has the urge to pick up knitting. Abbey's helping her how to get started to knit her own scarf!

FF's own hand writing. Since she now can write simple sentences...that's what she expresses for her room.

Gramma took the kids to yumcha and then to ice cream, even in the middle of the Winter.

These are the fruits of SS's hard labor. He sold quite a bit of popcorn for scouts (dad helped too) and his prize was a waterproof tent and a goodie bad.
