Abbey with 3.1 kids to care for at home is something of the extraordinary. She keeps them busy by teaching, training, planning and feeding all three while keeping herself sane by talking with other moms. At the end of the each day she wonders why she keeps this up; because at the beginning of each morning she is reminded with the great smiles and kisses from all her kids: Zhao Kids.
Why not take advantage of the this one and only snow fall of the season! Took the kids to the back and let them sled. The boys mainly played with the slush but FongFong tried some new surfing techniques.
During this time of the year it's always hectic as Abbey's working much much more doing tax returns for Betty Hsueh. While she's busy, the family is trying to keep things in order.
As FongFong is growing, she is always trying new things too. Here she took the initiative and prepared a lesson for our Family Home Evening. She took a lot of time preparing for it and it turned out really nice!!
She even prepared a video for the family to watch.
So the kids challenged Da to learn an instrument this year. Da took on the challenge and told them he'll learn piano. Years and years ago when Brennan was first born, Da wanted to learn but that didn't go so well as Abbey was trying to rest and him staring out by himself just didn't work out so well with Abbey trying to sleep during daytime. So that ended and never continued until now. This time Da is determined. It's still a very rough start but FF decided to step in to help smooth out the process for the sake of everyones' ears.
On the afternoon of Sunday 3/12 the day after Daylight Savings time, Da and Abbey took a nap after church. While they're napping, the kids were supposed to do their music, folder clothes, and clean bathrooms...well they end up with making a multi-room fort with all the blankets they can gather. Instead of getting mad, Da and Abbey were impressed by their work and even let them sleep in it overnight.
While in SF, I realized that many of our relatives have a lot of photos posted on their walls of family. And noticeably the Christmas letters I send them with photos. They are plastered all over the place. I feel loved that they see and remember us throughout the years.
At DaCan's house is a shrine of our dad's parents.
The remarkable resemblence of FongFong and Elise!!! They even have very similar personalities! Love to play, and play around with me!
