As of today, 2017-03-26 we heard the bad news that our beloved grandmother, Florence P. Wright, has passed away in her home in Mt. Airy, Maryland.

From Abbey's words posted in Facebook:
"Grandma finally returns to Heavenly Father today. She let me stayed with her 15 years ago before Da and I got married in the temple. She made my wedding cake and became my US grandma. Everytime we visited her, she reminds me to treasure my family and to love Da. She keeps us post with everyone in her great big family. She may seems strict in her ways but shows great loves towards our crazy kids. I am going to miss you Grandma, but I am happy that you don't need to have any more physical pain and reunit with Grandpa in Heaven."

Abbey's especially saddened since grandma Wright has been her adopted grandmother since she was engaged to Da and how she's went throught so many difficult trials to want to marry to Da. Grandma Wright welcomed Abbey into her home like her own grandchild and let her stay there for over a week during this time. She was there for the ups and downs of the whole trial. Finally after everytihng passed and Abbey and Da were getting married, Grandma Wright was there at the Temple sealing.
This was back in 2002.

Granda Wright is the only living grand parent Abbey has ever know.  She's definitely drawn close to grandma Wright over the years and and especially when she moved to Mt. Airy. We've shared many memories with her.

Grandma Wright was with us at our wedding in front of the Washington DC Temple in 09/28/2002

The amazing cake she made by hand from scratch!

This was when her cat Smokey was still around and Brennan would love to play with the cat. Clayton, not so much.

As the kids get older, we continue to visit her. Her front porch was full of beautiful flowers!

Whenever we go to her house, the boys always asks for her Lincoln Logs. The things they built!

Abbey made a scarf for her and she absolutely loved it.

As Grandma Wright gets older and she can no longer cook, sometimes we would have dinner at her house to eat with her. She always requests to eat KFC!

At the beginnig of 2017, Grandma's health was deteriorating rapidly. The doctors discovered tumors in arms and hip. They said it's best not to perform surgery on her since she might not be able to wake up from anesthesia. So they gave her medication to take to see if helps to slow down the growth of the tumors. Because of the tumors, it has taken a toll on Grandma's health and she became much less mobile.

For a Valentine's present, we gave Grandma Wright an iPad. Her legs were giving out on her and she had a very hard time going to the computer to get on Facebook and other websites to see photos of her children, grand children, and great grandchildren growing up. So the kids decided to donate one of our iPads to her so she can go on Facebook and other sites to see all her family without having to get up to the computer. She absolutely loved it! She even said she's more advanced than her daughter :)

Clayton drew an awesome Valentine's Day card for Grandma.

And Cayleigh made a Valentine's Day card for her too.

Towards February/March, Grandma's tumors were spreading rapid and the doctors found tumors in her brain. She was in an out of hospitals many times. Gladly she was at the hospital close to us and we had a chance to visit her one last time. The kids sang hymns and the boys played several songs to her on their instruments.

She was still very alert and happy the very last time we visit grandma at the hospital, one week before she passed away.

It was finally time for Clayton to move on from cubscouts to boyscouts. Brother Martinis and Brother Jex with Steven, William, Isaiah, Gabe, John Lewis, John Robert, Tate, Trevor, Gabe, Finn, Brennan and Cayleigh in her girlscout uniform came to Clayton's Pack1199 Arrow of Light and Bridging Ceremony to support and welcome him into Troop 1300. It was a surreal moment as Abbey and Da also ended their leadership for Den 1. All the other three scouts Atta, Shayaan, and Dhillan bridged over to Troop 1325.
