It was a rainy breezy Friday morning. This is the day we had the funeral service for Grandma Florence Wright at the Mt. Airy Chapel. All of her four children were there with their spouses and many of her grand children and great grand children-including us, friends and ward members-even from Rockville Ward were there.
We were invited by her daughter, Julia, to the private family viewing which we feel that Grandma Wright would be happy to have us there too. It was an honor to us that we are part of her family. The is where our children was able to see Grandma Wright one last time. Brennan and Clayton understand most of what is going on during the viewing but Cayleigh comments why grandma is sleeping and why is she going back to Heavenly Father now? They also comment that grandma looks better when she was alive. We explained to the children about Heavenly Father's Plan and that she needs to go back to Him and also see her husband.
After the funeral services many members and people asks how we became so close to Grandma right and the explaination was simple: it started back in 2002 when Abbey and Da wanted to get married and how we went through a very difficult time. Grandma Wright was there for Abbey to let her live at her house, to feed her, to console her, and take her like one of her grand children. Ever since then Abbey and Da became closer and closer to grandma. As she ages and moved to Mt Airy, Abbey and Da bring their children to meet grandma and they became grandma Wright's great-grand adopted children too. As grandma gets older, we make more and more frequent visits to various facilities, the children would visit her often, make cards for her, and play musical pieces to make her feel better.

Since we've been so close to grandma Wright, after her passing, her daughter asks us what are some of the things that we would to take from grandma's house to remember her. Abbey immediately remembers grandma Wright's elaborate Christmas decorations with many lighthouses. So Julia had us choose a lighthouse for us to remember her.
