The Zhao Family

This family gather has been a long time in the planning. Da's mom has been asking to have her brother's family, his children MiaoPing (Sally) and  Dawen and their families for a family gathering for a couple years now. Before the timing was not safe thanks to Covid but how it's safe so it worked out very well on July 4th with great weather. Da's siblings families showed up and so we had a total of 26 people gathered at our house. Da cooked burgers and everyone brought a lot of food to eat and having a great time.

The kids helped tremendously with cleaning, tidying up, and organizing the house to prepare for this family gathering. And with the new kitchen counter and deck, it made hosting the family gathering that much more special and welcoming.

 This year FF went to Girls Camp with the Seneca Stake, whereas last year she went with just the Seneca Ward. There's definitely a lot more people this year including 4 more girls from our branch. The YW leaders, Jenny Smith and Liz Huffaker, borrowed our van and drove the girls there. They had a really great time and enjoyed the activities and bonding time with the rest of the girls form the Stake. From FF experience:

"Girls camp was cool. Some things I enjoyed about camp are the people and the food. The food was amazing btw. During camp, I learned survival skills, how to do some new knots and other stuff. I was able to watch a turtle lay 5 eggs which was a great experience. I also was able to do many fun activities with new friends." -FF
