What a nervously miraculous week! Da would never thought it would come to this (so soon): he officially became a "Marriage Officiant" and married a couple at church! Lanlan has been investigating and attending our branch for quite some time now. Lanlan needed to to marry her fiancé Ricky before getting baptized. When they were applying for marriage license, it came upon them that they would ask Da to marry them. AND to perform the civil marriage ceremony in Mandarin! Da's mandarin already wasn't all that great, so when they asked him, he took on the duty and did all the research and took him a week and a half to prepare to perform the ceremony in Mandarin. After many practices, he successfully married Ricky and Lanlan on
November 19, 2023 1:00pm at the Kentland's Chapel.

Immediately after the marriage, Lanlan was baptized by her husband, Ricky.

Abbey also make them a small cake from scratch, purchased and braided the flowers, and also gave them a 3-D printed Temple ornament

This year SS is part of the NAHS committee where he was the secretary for the group. He really enjoyed the fun he had with the team at NAHS.

 It was a great activity planned by the scout leaders to have the scouts experience flying in small planes. Twenty three scouts attended the activity and Da was able to squeeze himself in one of the flights since there was one last open spot. 

SS flew with Max in a fast plane and really enjoyed the experience flying over Frederick. Da flew in an older plane but none the less felt like a little kid up in the air. It was one of his bucket list to fly in a small airplane.
