For some odd phenomenon, on 10/10/24, the Washington DC area was able to see aurora borealis or the northern lights. FF took photos of it from our backyard
The weather is getting cold outside, so we've taken in the 'unknown fruit' plants indoors. They've grown a lot but we still don't know what fruit it will bear.
For a night at church, Da and Jason did some Karaoke.
On a day that we were a little free, FF and mom made some Hong Kong desserts. They were delicious!
FF also made Spam Musubi (Spam wrapped in seaweed with rice)
Da cooked waffles for the seminary kids. Then Abbey took some to her work and Da took the batter and made some for his coworkers too.
Abbey and Da went on a hike by themselves to Sugarloaf Mountain. We thought it was the 'best weekend' to see foliage, come to find out that the trees in the mountain were not turning colors yet.
So we decided to buy go buy some apples.
Da also went to YM camping where he cooked breakfast for the YM right at the base of sugarloaf mountain.
Visiting Chen mama is always a highlight. She is an amazing faithful sister that we love to visit.
FF being cold and still eating ice cream, while trying to do math homework.
FF and her NWHS friends went a Quince Orchard HS football game against their school. They are each others' biggest rivals. Last year QO lost to NW, this year QO came back big and defeated NW.
FF is in the PVYO Orchestra this year. She and one other girl are the only two French Horn players. FF is much farther ahead of the other young lady, however the director has requested for both of them to be trained better.
