The Zhao Family

The final day of our Thanksgiving weekend was Sunday on the drive home. 

In the morning we went to Dyker Heights 8th Ave Chinese Ward Sacrament and to see our friends there. Then kaiye would drive to church to give us lunch and food for our drive home. They would include pineapple and bbq pork buns, roast duck, roast pig and bbq ribs. So when we arrived home, it was dinner time. We ate all the food kaiye bought us. It was sooo soooo good!

As usual, it took us over 5.5 hours of driving to get home.

Below is Elder Lai. We knew his parents when we lived in Brooklyn. We were there when he was born. Today we meet him at the Chinese Ward that his parents and us attended over 20 years ago.

Below is Elder Chang. Da was his dad's mission companion when they served in Sydney Australia in 1999. We visited their family in 2017 when we did the cross country trip.

 The next morning we drove to Edgewater New Jersey, to shop at Daiso and other Japanese stores. FF was in heaven. Daiso is like the Japanese version of US dollar store but with better stuff, the Japanese way. We spent the morning visiting many other stores there too. 

Then we drove across the Hudson River into upper midtown New York to the Natural History Museum to see all exhibits. Ophi really liked the dinosaurs and animals.

After spending many hours at the Museum, we went to Diane's house where her husband 'kaiye' cooked up another feast! He was so happy to see FF and us. We had a lot of food and had a great time!
