We stayed in Anchorage one day and explored the area. We went to the Ulu factory and learned more about how how tool was used. John and Brennan each bought a Ulu knife.
We stopped at the Chugach State Park to look at the snow mountain tops. Since the water is shallow this time of the year, local residents are able to walk along the shore and catch fish with their nets.

Then we went to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to see the Alaskan animals; bison, bear, reindeer, elk,
The Whittier Tunnel is a unique 2.51-mile long, dual-use tunnel that connects the town of Whittier to the rest of Alaska. The narrow tunnel took about 7 minutes to get to the other side where the Caribbean Princess cruise ship was waiting for us to board.
We had our first dinner at the Palm restaurant.
After dinner, the kids saluted goodbyes as we departed Whittier. Then they explored some of the ship.
