We stayed in Anchorage one day and explored the area. We went to the Ulu factory and learned more about how how tool was used. John and Brennan each bought a Ulu knife.

Then we walked around the area until the bus arrived. We bought some reindeer meat in a sandwich. The bus took us to several stops.

We stopped at the Chugach State Park to look at the snow mountain tops. Since the water is shallow this time of the year, local residents are able to walk along the shore and catch fish with their nets.
Then we went to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to see the Alaskan animals; bison, bear, reindeer, elk,
We stopped by Girdwood for more mountains by the seaside
The Whittier Tunnel is a unique 2.51-mile long, dual-use tunnel that connects the town of Whittier to the rest of Alaska. The narrow tunnel took about 7 minutes to get to the other side where the Caribbean Princess cruise ship was waiting for us to board.

We had our first dinner at the Palm restaurant.
After dinner, the kids saluted goodbyes as we departed Whittier. Then they explored some of the ship.

Going on Alaska was one of our bucket list. Clayton requests to accomplish this before he goes to his mission. So we saved up and planned it with John and Hoiman Tang family. Actually 98% of the entire trip was planned by John Tang. Thank you John!!

John meticulously planned every single day of our trip from day one in Anchorage to last day in Vancouver Chinatown. He checked the weather for each location, he created the packing list, and even planned the dinner reservations! He's pretty awesome guy!

Shortly the Strathmore performance and the day before going on Alaska trip, FF had a school concert where she also performed a solo piece. This one was very easy compared to the Strathmore piece. Liz Huffaker and Ms. Kim came to support her.
