May was a super busy month of small events and activity here and there, especially when many school activities are wrapping up and outdoor festivities start gearing up.

The last last day of seminary breakfast for the students.

We visited the Chinese embassy with the Liu family

We also visited other embassies in DC with the Liu family

After visiting the embassies, we 'hiked' the Soapstone Valley Trail at Rock Creek Park. It was surprisingly nice and peaceful!

In May, Cary and Lauren Ning was in town and we met up at Full Key for lunch! It was great seeing how much their beautiful daughter has grown!
Sister Ella Chong also invited us for dinner to her new apartment. She cooked lots of delicious food!
Our cousin, Andy Li invited Abbey and I to his graduation. It's so great to see how far he's come along and graduated from college. Super proud of him and his family.

FF invited Joanna Fugal, Amelia Ly, and Michelle Zheng to come over to bake banana bread. They had a good time.
While YangYang Deng is in China, we all went to the Fugal home to celebrate Wesley's birthday. There was lots of food and fun! He really enjoyed it!

May was quite a busy month since Brennan returned home. We had many gatherings eating many delicious foods: from Korean BBQ at home, to mom cooking CC's favorite dishes, and we even invited Ms. Grimann to have dinner with us.

While the kids are home, we also had family time and played some good old board/card games that we used to play.

CC fully utilized his old Beats wireless headset and used his own money from being TA and purchased his own set of Airpods Pro.

This year, FF continued to be in PVYO Orchestra and performed at Strathmore. Mom went to watch her perform.
While kids home, they even helped cleaned the house and deck. They wiped down all the blinds and rails

Brennan also discovered there was a wasps next at the bottom of the rail, when he went out to clean and got stung. Everyone wasn't sure how to get rid of it. Abbey researched to buy wasp spray, call pest control. Instead, Da went out at 3am, when it was still cold and the wasps are inside and not active, dressed in several layers of long sleeves and gloves, used a regular trash bag and wrapped around it and took out the next. Hence the container with the plastic bag with the nest in it.
