For one reason or another, Ethan requested to celebrate his birthday at our house this year. I were glad to host it and invite all the people he wanted. He end up inviting his cousins over. It was a great time together. His mom brought a lot of food from the restaurant and afterward they play neft gun fight in the basement, it was a blast.

Another first was that our Stake had a Daddy-Daughter "hoedown" dance where only fathers and their daughters can be in this activity. They fully decorated it with Western themed and it was quite elaborate.

Then we also went fishing. Since Abbey really doesn't like the mosquitoes that keep biting her, Da somehow convinced to go fishing with them. Instead of fishing, she was paint while we fished. It worked out great! She got her paint somewhat done and Ethan caught seven fish! -the most he's ever caught!

Also for some reason, Ethan actually requested by himself to come to our house to do his homework after school. So since he's coming to our house to do homework, he might as well help out with some of the chores in our house.

This year the governor of our state decided to start school on  Monday after Labor Day. In the years past, they have been going to school two weeks before Labor Day.

Anyways since the kids know several kids in the neighborhood, Da decided to cook his signature breakfast for the kids' first day of school. And since we have middle schoolers and elementary school kids, he had to cook two different times so they can have a fresh hot breakfast.

Below is the set of Middle Schoolers. (From left to right: Tennon's mom, Clayton, Brennan [Cayleigh-not really in middle school], and Tennon

Clayton is not happy when he found out that his best Pokemon cards are ruin in the washer by mom.

And of to school they go. Tennon's mom, Sierra's mom, Abbey and will take turns picking up, dropping off the kids. Such a great thing to have good neighbors.

Second set of kids come for breakfast including Max, Abbey, Zack, Cayleigh, and Jennifer.

Now that FF is all by herself in elementary school, she has all the time with mom.

School is about to start in a week and so naturally the kids want to squeeze in as much fun as they can before going back to school.

Abbey took the kids to watch Lego Batman for $1.00 (one dollar) at the movie theater.

Abbey was also able to find a really good deal for the kids to go to this amusement park for almost half price. They played pretty much the entire day there and still didn't want to leave.

Since Da is now called to be an Eleven Year Old Scout leader, one of the first activity he organized was to go hiking with the scouts and their families at Sugarloaf Mountain before school started. It was a great turnout and the weather beautiful.

FF participated in a 1K fun run with her Girl Scout troop. It was a blast!

Abbey also went camp with the young women in branch. It happened to rain and pour that night but they had a wonderful time!

We also went apple picking too!
