This is a milestone point in life. Brennan has been going to BYU for two years and starting second half of his third year. He's really enjoy studying Mechanical Engineering. While being a student at BYU, he is also finding ways to earn some money. When he started BYU, he worked at Chikfila for a period.

This time as he started the second half of his third year, he applied for and got a job as a Teacher's Assistant to the Mechanical Engineering program! He was happy when he got the job as TA in January of 2025.

Of course right after he told us about getting the TA job, Da immediately asked for him to take some selfies to document for the blog. Brennan, being not a photo taking person, did not take any photos when Da asked. So Da would periodically ask and there was still not response. It was until in April, towards the end of semester that Brennan took several selfies!!! However, he still didn't send it to dad yet. It took another two months, Brennan already came home, enjoyed his Summer break at home, and it was until the last couple days before leaving home to go back to BYU that he shared those photos with Da. It was a patience building occasion for Da, to know that after much hope and possibly not able to see photos of Brennan being a TA at BYU Engineering building, Brennan decided to share these precious photos with Da.

With a relaxing night's sleep, Da and Abbey woke up early so he can go fishing. Abbey enjoyed the morning hike. Da didn't catch any fish.

When we came back to the yurt, FF was on the laptop watching the Chinese drama show. Then Abbey made steak, broccoli, and baked potatoes for breakfast! It was very very delicious. Afterwards we went bird watching at the visitors' center.

One thing that Da didn't like about the yurt is that when the sun beats onto the building, it gets very hot and there's not circulation. When the temperatures reached around 80F, it was not very pleasant. So Da suggested to pack up and so the girls can go outlet shopping. No one complained and the girls shopped more than four hours. Afterwards, we ate leftovers from camping in our van sitting on the empty parking lot. It was pretty epic and satisfying.

The first two nights were especially cold. Gladly we booked a campsite with electricity and Da used a heated blanket to keep him warm while FF and Abbey had really warm blankets.

On our third day, we had the yurt! It was amazing and very different experience! It had a huge queen bed, a underneath twin bed, and wooden floor. Everything is nice and clean without pitching a tent.

We also spent some time in downtown Fredericksburg VA to go shopping and eating there. At night time, we went back to the yurt so FF can continue her Chinese drama show.
