During Chinese New Year dinner at Da's parents house, they were talking about wanting to go to San Francisco for a week since they are retired now. And since they can't go there by themselves, they asked Da to see if he can take them before end of March. Da looked consulted with Abbey and the family schedule. The best week would be towards the end of February. So the tickets were booked for 2/22-3/1 and the day after the tickets were purchased, Abbey realized that is one of the busiest weekends we will have, she just forgot to put the things in the calendar.
Here, Abbey's panicking and grab the poster paper to write out an entire week's schedule for the kids and her.
Posted it on the entrance wall so everyone can see it everyday!
One of the cool things since FongFong turned eight years old, she has now joined all the 8yo old with the Kentland's ward on Tuesdays for their Activity Day where they learn all kinds of things and crafts. It very similar to girl scouts but they cover different things.
FF just learned to sew and love to sew.
Brennan had this school band concert that Da missed out.
The weather was beautiful when Da left for SF. Normally in late February, the temp would be around 20-30s, but it was in the 70s!! So as a treat, mom took the kids to ice cream!
FongFong also did her first girl scout cookie store front sale for the first time!
Another thing that Da missed out was the cub scouts Blue and Gold Banquet which was SS last banquet.
Little did we know that it was also a night for the leaders to get their appreciation plaque for leading the den! Da was not there so Abbey received it for the both of us.
At 4H, FF had a special recognition for being in the clover program.
And CC was awarded for all the achievement's he has accomplished this year.
Also SS had his braces removed too! He started going to the orthodontist back in 9/15 when he first had his expanders, then several months later he had braces. Finally in 03/17 his braces are removed and he has a retainer. See the difference on his teeth!
And lastly, Abbey can't stand long hair anymore so she decided to chop 10 inches off to donate. Da doesn't like it short but she does, oh well Da.
(This was actually done a couple days before Da left for SF)
And as a fun note: Abbey managed to crack her phone screen, she used another brand new phone and dropped it and cracked the entire screen within 24 hrs after Da left for SF.
