This is the very first 5K that FF and Abbey participated in Girls on the Run 5K. This happens to be the 10th anniversary of GOTR. FF has been preparing for this 5K run for a month now at her school,each Tuesday and Friday mornings she would go to school at 8am and run until 9:15am when school start classes.
It was a cold breezy morning when that ran this morning. It was a very festive atmosphere and many families turn up to run. The music and coordinators rallied and pumped up the crowd to get excited. After some warm up exercises, t-shirt throw away, off they went.
FF was so exhausted after the 5K run she fell asleep immediately in the car while we drove to church.
