The last weekend of January was quite busy. CC was invited to join the Mid-Atlantic Honor Band Concert in Shenandoah University in VA. It's a 1.5 hour drive that mom went with him for the weekend, from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. He had to leave school early to attend this event. According to mom, all the students there are very talented and played very well. And because CC is driving now, he also drove the long distance.

While the students are there for the weekend, mom searched around town to see what she can do to keep herself occupied and she found some very nice places to visit. While mom and CC are out of town, Da took care of the other two kids to have a good weekend too.

More details below.

While the band is rehearsing, Abbey took the time to explore the small town to find things she really enjoyed from small boutique shops to unique jewelry and clothing shopping.

With endless hours and no one to slow her down, Abbey prowled the little town and took her time shopping to score some really nice bargains.

While CC and mom are out of town for the Mid-Atlantic Honor Band Concert, SS, FF, and Da are at home. FF have much time and so she decided to braid her hair! She said it took her four hours to braid them, 2 hours to unbraid them. Then the next day, she tried it on her brother.

Recently SS has really gotten into Ping Pong / Table tennis, so after his volleyball clinic, we took cousins and grandparents to play ping pong and badminton at church. SS discovered that grandpa was pretty good at ping pong too! So they had a great time challenging each other. They even got into arm wrestling match, SS not strong enough yet but gave grandpa a good challenge.
