From a beautiful day for the youth and adult leaders to do service project turned into a tragedy turned into a miraculous event.
It was a beautiful day for many outdoor events. While Da and Clayton were biking with the Boyscouts, the church held a youth service project activity where the adult leaders would take the youth to members' homes front yard to do some service. Sister Huffaker drove FF and Jojo to do service project. So while she was driving, during a split moment decision to avoid collision with another car, the car was oversteered to hit the curb and right into a tree causing the car to flip. Thank goodness everyone was wearing seatbelts. When the accident happened, other members of the church immediately came to rescue. They saw the girls and immediately called Abbey and Liz's husband, Jason. The ambulance took FF and Liz to the hospital with minor injuries and Jojo walked away without any injury.
This is the busiest last two days for tax season and when Abbey received the phone call, she immediately canceled her clients and went to the scene of the accident. When she arrived and saw the car flipped her heart sanked. FF was taken to the hospital with bruises and laceration from the seatbelt around her neck. The doctors ordered IV, blood work, ekg, 4 CT scans to make sure there's no internal injuries nor more injuries below the skin. After several hours, she was released to go home.
She came home and rested. Liz was also discharged and went home to rest. Some members visited Liz while the Stake Young women president stopped by to drop off FF some treats to help make her feel better.
The next day we went to church as usual. Liz stayed home to rest. Then after church, the young women with Sis Anderson and Abbey went to Liz's home to visit her AND on their own, they started cleaning the kitchen - wiping down the oven, washing dishes, etc. It was just amazing to see these girls do these things. Liz was loved by these young women!
