大家好!

今天是佛誕所以我們今朝參與了一個初級會活動,令到有機會延長這個準備日!

Today was the Chinese national holiday "Buddha's Birthday," and so since many people were off work, we had the chance to serve during a primary activity. Because of this we had our preparation day extended, so this is coming out a bit later than usual.

This week has had some pretty rough things happen, but because of what we have seen my faith has been strengthened so much. As I don't have much time the rest of today, I wanted to record some experiences that I got to share this week.

Just this past Saturday Elder Halgren and I were given the chance to share a miracle during a mission wide miracle call. Nothing immediately came to mind of what to share, until we realized in a broader sense of where the Lord's hand has been. Even busy with managing mission tasks, "all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things."

A couple of zone conferences ago, we were invited to pray to not just find prepared people, but for them to be led to find us. As office missionaries we have prayed for this daily, as our tasks sometimes take hours in a day to complete.

In the past month, we have been able to teach and support three friends on baptismal date. The first has been Derek, who was a social media referral to Kwun Tong and eventually passed to us. He had been looking for a church to give himself to. The second, Simon, referred himself directly to us after wanting to learn more of Jesus Christ's gospel. At last we have Quidde, who walked into the chapel on his own during a General Conference. Looking back, all three have been led to find us.

Op top of this, they all scheduled themselves consecutively one after another on Friday mornings at 9:30, 11,and then 12, allowing us to easily balance office duties, Saturday exchanges and teaching.

Quidde especially has been a blessing. Since we started teaching him, he would study the pamphlets or chapters we would share with him and come back with notes and questions. These questions and the order he would ask them in almost always directly lined up with the principles we would prepare to share with him that lesson.

Finally, just last Sunday we met a man named Patrick. On his way to somewhere he saw our temple and immediately got off to investigate what it was. Seeing that it was closed, he noticed that members across the street were slowly filing into the chapel there. On his own he attended sacrament, and then met us after where we were able to schedule him twice in the same week. In that first lesson where we shared about the Book of Mormon, his deep knowledge of the Israelite covenant made a huge difference. Even having visited many churches, he testified of the love and joy he observed as he attended our Sunday service, noting the focus on families unprompted, and thought it to make sense that another portion of God's record could exist.

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

There have been so many other instances of people being led to us on their own, and it has been such a testimony of how our five loaves and two fishes is what God expects of us. In this portion lies our own responsibility to pray, attend church, and read scriptures, doing what we can to love, share, and invite. “Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."

I know that these things are true and am so grateful to see the hand of the Lord in the work. Thank you all for your love and support and I will see you all next week!
