The Zhao Family

 FF's biggest trip of her life! so far. 

What started out as a small joke while our family chatting with the Tang family in our Alaska cruise trip, turned into a reality. 

One day Hoiman was talking to Abbey on the cruise and thought it would be fun for FF to go over to Utah and visit them for the Summer. When FF heard it, she was excited but we were resistant because FF still had a lot of things to do and other priorities like SAT studies. 

So after the Alaskan cruise, FF thought more deeply about the possibility of actually going to stay at Hoiman's for a week. Then the conversations began at home. Many things were brought to the table for discussion like SAT study, funding, bothering the Tang family, they might not have time, chores, obligations, baby/pet sitting, and etc. 

Then FF proposed her plan laid out of what she will do and when she will do them, all to fit in the idea of her going to Utah for one week. As time get's closer, Abbey and Da were not keen on it. So Abbey and Hoiman talked over things and if FF's plan going over to Utah would work.

After some discussions, Abbey bit the bullet and let FF used her Summer earned money to buy her own plane tickets. Oh boy, was she ecstatic! But FF was not off the hook. We made sure she is supposed to do all the things she needed to do before leaving, and what she needed to do while at Utah, like studying SAT for many hours with Dayton.

So the day finally came, we took her to the airport. FF was nervous. She never flown by herself before. But she was prepared, she planned, packed and wrote down everything she needed, and fitted everything in one backpack. Placed at the door the night before. She flew Breeze Airlines, a new airline that flies directly to Provo.

When FF thought she was flying by herself, little did we know she found some familiar faces in the plane flying with her! Megan Tsai and Caroline Axley was also on the same flight!!

Meanwhile, Abbey and I had simple breakfast at home...by ourselves for the first time. 

Once landed in Provo, Hoiman, John, Clayton, and Darius picked up FF. They went straight to so many fun places!

They even went to the bishops' storehouse to see their operations how they prepare many foods for food storage and shipping them out to those in need.

Then went to the mall and watched movies. 

FF went to BYU and met up with Brennan at the bookstore! They hung out and bought each other gifts from the store. 

Meanwhile back home, we didn't want to cook at home after work, so we went to pick up Cindy's mom and took her to Taipei and treated her to dinner!

She then hang out with Brennan one more time and ate at some nice restaurant in Provo

After seven days of lots of fun, ff drew an awesome Thank You card to leave with the Tang family.

John, Dayton, and Darius dropped FF at the airport to come home.

On the way home, she was really lucky to have an entire row of seats for herself! AND ate ramen!!
